Public Works Board accepting grant applications for broadband project studies

Contact: Logan Bahr, Maggie Carol

The Public Works Board (PWB) announced they are currently accepting applications for broadband planning-feasibility study grants through November 14, 2019.

The Broadband Planning-Feasibility Study Grants are for strategic planning activities that facilitate development of broadband services in unserved areas across Washington. The PWB will allocate up to $500,000 for this grant cycle, with a maximum award of $50,000 per applicant.

The funding awards are based on a competitive ranking process, and there is not a guarantee that funds will be available for future planning-feasibility grant cycles. Awards are expected in December 2019. For more information, visit the Public Works Board’s Broadband Financing page.
