2023 city-county assistance estimates released

Contact: Candice Bock, Sheila Gall

The Department of Revenue recently released its estimates of city-county assistance for 2023 distributions to low tax-base cities and counties under RCW 43.28.290 (ESSB 6050). Due to changes in statewide averages for per capita sales taxes and assessed values over the last year, several cities newly qualified, and a few will no longer be eligible. The total distributions are also estimated to be lower due to expected decreases in real estate excise tax collections as real estate transactions slow.

If your city receives these distributions, view your city’s estimated distributions here.
