Tax Structure Work Group reconvenes after eventful legislative session

Contact: Candice Bock, Maggie Douglas

The Washington State Tax Structure Work Group met for the first time after this year’s legislative session. Work group members discussed the large swath of tax-related legislation passed this year, including the capital gains tax, working family tax credit, national 988 hotline system, and multiple property tax exemption bills.

The work group also discussed multiple engagement methods planned through the end of the year: tax town halls, multilingual feedback opportunities, surveys, and targeted outreach to interested organizations.
