AWC’s next monthly Blake discussion set for August 11 – Register now

Contact: Sharon Swanson, Jacob Ewing

In response to this year’s passage of SB 5476, which attempts to address the impacts of the State v. Blake court decision also issued this year, AWC is hosting a series of monthly, city-focused meetings for city attorneys and interested city officials. While AWC cannot offer legal advice, we do want to facilitate communication among cities and offer periodic updates on policy conversations about Blake.

The next meeting is scheduled for August 11 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm. If you are interested in participating, please register for the meetings here.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing instructions for joining the meeting. For readers who are not involved in your city’s response to Blake, please feel free to forward this invitation to the appropriate staff in your city.

For more information on the state’s response to Blake, the Health Care Authority has shared a fact sheet outlining timelines and funding plans.
