Budgets are some of the last pieces of the puzzle remaining

Contact: Candice Bock, Sheila Gall

The legislative session ends on March 10 with all eyes on the budgets. Budget negotiators are pulling together the final pieces of the legislative puzzle and passing final versions of the budgets before they adjourn for the year. Much of that will occur in negotiations between the House and Senate budget leaders over the next several days.

AWC continues to monitor the proposals. We encourage you to use our Budget Hot Sheet to find sharable major messages for your legislators covering city priorities in the budgets.

Also see the updated article on the transportation budget for more information on the proposed sweep of the Public Works Assistance Account revenue.

We will update our budget matrix and summary of the major provisions impacting cities in next week’s Legislative Bulletin.
