Local Records Grant Program applications open soon

Contact: Logan Bahr, Brandon Anderson

Applications for the Local Records Grant Program open on July 2, 2018 and close four weeks later on July 31.

The AWC-priority public records bill HB 1594 that improved public records administration included a provision for a Local Records Grant Program. The program provides grant funds for local government to improve their records retention, management, and disclosure of public records.

Applications for the next round of grants will re-open at the beginning of July and the Washington State Archives is offering training on how to apply.

If you are interested in learning more about the grant program, please email recordsmanagement@sos.wa.gov to arrange a free consultation or visit the Local Records Grant Program website.
