City officials present transportation needs to Joint Transportation Committee

Contact: Maggie Douglas

The last week of June is always a busy time for AWC—and not just because of our awesome Annual Conference! We are also pleased to partner with the Joint Transportation Committee (JTC) to host their quarterly meeting, and each year we enjoy the opportunity to share our members’ stories with legislators.

This year, Government Relations Director Candice Bock was joined by Mayor Anne McEnerny-Ogle of Vancouver, Councilmember Kristina Walker of Tacoma, and Assistant City Manager Adam Lincoln of Pasco in presenting city transportation needs to the joint committee, including the need for greater competitive grant funding, support for transportation maintenance and preservation, and the need for multimodal investments. AWC is deeply appreciative of the JTC city panelists and their comments. To view the panel presentation, click here.
