Contact: Candice Bock, Jacob Ewing

Mark your calendars, the Washington State Archives Local Records Grant Program will begin accepting applications on May 2.

The Local Records Grant Program was established to help local governments’ use of technology to improve their records retention, management, and disclosure of public records. Local governments can apply for up to $50,000 in grants to improve technology tools, organize file rooms, or undertake digital imaging.

Since the program’s inception in 2018, the state has awarded over $3 million in grants to local governments across the state.

Cities interested in applying for funds can visit the State Archives’ website for more information on the program. The deadline to apply for the program is May 20, 2022.
