On June 16, the Office of Financial Management sent the following email to mayors and other contacts at non-entitlement cities around the state:
“Dear Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) local government account administrator:
As you are aware, the federal SLFRF program authorizes the U.S. Department of the Treasury (Treasury) to make payments to states and territories for distribution to their non-entitlement units of local government (NEUs). The Washington State Office of
Financial Management (OFM) facilitated the first payment in June last year.
The second payment of the SLFRF was provided to OFM for distribution on June 7, 2022. OFM will follow the Treasury’s guidance for the payment distribution. […] More information is available from Treasury’s website […].
The second SLFRF disbursement is the same as the first payment (with exceptions for the rounding variance). Cities that declined the first distribution in 2021 are not eligible to receive the second payment. See the second attached document for the distribution
amounts for the second payment.
The SLFRF will be sent to the Local Government Investment Pool (LGIP) account in the Office of the State Treasurer’s Treasury Management System. We hope to distribute payments the last week of June. We will follow up to let you know the confirmed
date.
If you have questions or need more information, please contact Jie Tang at ofmbudget@ofm.wa.gov or (360) 902-0560.”
