State offers free data management webinar on April 29

The State Office of Privacy and Data Protection (OPDP) will offer a free webinar on data classification, data categorization and personal information on Thursday, April 29.

The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) requires state agencies to classify data based on the information's sensitivity. All jurisdictions can use this type of system for better data management. The OPDP webinar will cover several topics, including:

  • The benefits of data classification;
  • The connection to other privacy and security controls; and
  • Practical considerations when classifying personal information.
