AWC-supported public records bill scheduled for hearing

HB 1667 is an AWC-supported bill that improves the Joint Legislative Audit & Review Committee (JLARC) public record reporting requirements established by the 2017 legislature under ESHB 1594. Additionally, the bill ends the sunset on the Attorney General Local Records Grant Program and the State Archivist Local Grant Program, both aimed at aiding local governments improve their public records practices.

 

Dates to remember


HB 1667 is scheduled for a public hearing on Friday, February 8 at 8 am in the House State Government & Tribal Relations Committee.
