Bill authorizes creation of a municipal police district

HB 1458, sponsored by Rep. Brian Blake (D-Aberdeen), creates a process for the formation, annexation, dissolution, and governance of a municipal police district between two or more contiguous cities or towns. Additionally, the bill provides for the transfer of powers, assets, and employees from participating cities and towns to the district.
