Proposal expands exemption to competitive bidding for community service organizations

HB 2832, sponsored by Rep. Tina Orwall (D–Kent), expands exemptions for competitive bidding processes for community service organizations.

The bill authorizes community service organizations to make additional improvements to public rights-of-way and other public spaces. Improvements may include landscaping or other services for community neighborhood projects and environmental justice sustainability projects.

AWC supports this bill.

 

Dates to remember


HB 2832 is scheduled for public hearing in the House Local Government Committee at 10 am on Tuesday, February 4. The bill is scheduled for a committee vote at 10 am on Friday, February 7.
