House delivery robot bill scheduled for Senate hearing

Contact: Logan Bahr, Brandon Anderson

HB 1325, concerning the regulation of personal delivery devices, is scheduled for a public hearing in the Senate Transportation Committee this week.

These are semi-autonomous devices intended to deliver property via sidewalks and crosswalks. The bill establishes a regulatory framework for the operation of personal delivery devices. The bill respects local control and allows these devices to operate in a jurisdiction provided they are operated within local governments’ rules and regulations.

AWC worked with the bill sponsor on changes and supports the current version of the bill.
