Update on our BLEA priority

Contact: Sharon Swanson, Shannon McClelland

AWC continues to advocate for fully funding 19 Basic Law Enforcement Academy (BLEA) classes.

In anticipation of the budget release from the House and Senate (expected the week of March 25), AWC drafted support letters to be delivered to the budget writers for each chamber.

Read the letter sent to Rep. Timm Ormsby (D–Spokane), with 28 Representatives signing on in support. A similar letter was delivered to Sen. Christine Rolfes (D–Bainbridge Island), supported and signed by 26 Senators.
