Final weeks to comment on Western WA stormwater manual

Contact: Carl Schroeder,Shannon McClelland

This is a reminder that the Washington State Department of Ecology’s (Ecology) draft stormwater management manual for Western Washington is out for comment until November 14. Local jurisdictions use the manual to implement stormwater requirements for new development and redevelopment projects. Land developers, designers, and businesses also use the manuals.

Ecology is including information on the draft stormwater manual during its workshop for the draft stormwater permit.

Ecology provided this comment spreadsheet to help organize and submit your comments. You may also provide comments by emailing SWPermitComments@ecy.wa.gov.

AWC generally engages directly with the review of the draft stormwater permits that provide the regulatory requirements for cities, and less so on the guidance manuals of how to implement the permits. Please contact us if you feel there are significant issues with these manuals.
