Contact: Candice Bock, Sheila Gall

HB 2018 which would provide a three-day sales tax holiday in September 2022 is scheduled to move out of the House Finance Committee on February 17. The bill would also provide a mechanism to reimburse local governments for local sales tax revenue losses.

This is one of a number of proposals under consideration intended to provide tax reductions to shoppers and support local businesses this year.

Date to remember

HB 2018 is scheduled for executive session in the House Finance Committee on Thursday, February 17 at 8 am.
