Public Works Board November meeting review

Contact: Logan Bahr, Maggie Carol

The Public Works Board (PWB) November meeting included updates to the new broadband program, a legislative review, loan applications, and an update from the SYNC group.

The PWB’s broadband program has received over seven applications for the first broadband planning-feasibility grants. In the coming months, the PWB will be traveling across Washington to hold public meetings to solicit input on the new program.

The PWB also approved project extensions to the Skyway Water and Sewer District for sewer pump consolidation, and the Lake Forest Park Water District’s source and supply improvements. In addition, the Board approved an emergency loan to the Valley View Sewer District to repair a sewer force main in Tukwila.
