Nutrient forum update

Contact: Carl Schroeder, Shannon McClelland

Last month we mentioned a new process kicking off from the Department of Ecology to address nutrient issues contributing to water quality challenges in the Puget Sound. This could have wide-ranging impacts on municipal providers whose systems could be contributing to the problem, or could be asked to be part of the solution.

We need your feedback and guidance on this process. See this list of municipal treatment facilities located in watersheds that discharge to the Puget Sound and Salish Sea. Ecology’s nutrient effort could impact these treatment facilities.

Please stay tuned to Ecology’s project and participate directly or through AWC to ensure that your needs are taken into account. Contact us if you have any questions.
