AWC is part of a stakeholder group formed to update the state’s Wetland Program Plan (WPP) and we are looking for your feedback on the proposed draft.
WPPs are voluntary plans developed and implemented by state agencies and tribes to articulate what these entities want to accomplish with their wetland programs over time. WPPs describe overall program goals along with broad-based actions and more specific
activities that will help achieve the stated goals. The Washington WPP spans 2015-2021 and is ready for an update. A final draft plan is due to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency by the end of March.
A narrative explanation of the new core element activities and a detailed description of the new actions are included in the updated draft. Changes and updates to specific core element actions are captured in a revised implementation
schedule. All new areas are notated.
Please review the changes and provide comments or suggested edits to Shannon McClelland prior to February 1.
