AWC returns to Yakima for Labor Relations Institute Conference, May 4-6

Contact: Matt Doumit

After a two-year hiatus, AWC is hosting the first in-person Labor Relations Institute (LRI) since 2019! The conference will be held at the Yakima Convention Center, May 4-6. We have been surprised at how quickly the event has been filling up. For a bit of recent history, LRI 2020 was cancelled due to the early waves of the COVID-19 pandemic and LRI 2021 was held entirely online. We are excited to be returning to Yakima—and we can tell you are too!

As many of you likely know, LRI is geared specifically towards public sector labor relations directors and staff, LR managers, department heads, elected officials, and attorneys at cities, counties, special purpose districts, and state agencies. Attendance is limited to those representing the interests of management.

There is a wide variety of sessions on a range of HR and labor relations topics. LRI kicks off with pre-conference sessions on the basics of bargaining, costing labor contracts, and addressing burnout in the afternoon on May 4, then fills the next two days with general and concurrent sessions. Check out the recently updated schedule.

Those interested in coming to LRI 2022 can register at the link below. Capacity is limited (and filling up fast) so get registered now.
