AWC seeks a city elected official to serve on the Public Works Board.
About the Public Works Board
The Public Works Board manages four programs and is tasked with assisting local governments in addressing local infrastructure needs. The board operates a revolving loan program funded by a dedicated local funding pool and meets to review applications and address administrative issues. Time commitment
The board meets monthly, in-person and online. Members of the board receive no compensation but are reimbursed for travel expenses under RCW 43.03.050 and 43.03.060. AWC does not cover any expenses.
Application process
The AWC Board of Directors will review applications at its next meeting and submit three nominees to the Governor’s Office for consideration of appointment to this position. One of the three applicants will be appointed by the Governor.

- Complete the AWC interest form, including your qualifications and attached resume.
- Complete the application for gubernatorial appointment. This application is sent directly to the Governor’s Office and will not be part of the materials reviewed by the AWC Board of Directors. Therefore, it is important your AWC interest form provide details pertinent to this position.
