Apply to serve on the Capital Projects Advisory Review Board

The Governor’s Office seeks a senior city staff member to serve on the Capital Projects Advisory Review Board (CPARB). Applicants must be knowledgeable about public works contracting procedures.

The CPARB reviews alternative public works contracting procedures and provides guidance to state policymakers on ways to further enhance the quality, efficiency, and accountability of public works contracting methods. The CPARB is directed to review current statutes regarding life-cycle cost analysis and energy efficiency as related to the design-build procurement method performed under RCW 39.10.

Members are appointed to four-year terms.

Time commitment, travel expenses

The CPARB meets at least six times per year in-person and online. Members serve without compensation and may be reimbursed for travel expenses. AWC does not cover any expenses.

Application process

The AWC Board of Directors will review materials at its next meeting and submit nominees to the Governor’s Office. Final appointment of the selected candidate will come from the Governor.

Those interested in serving must complete both steps below:

  1. Complete the AWC interest form stating why you are interested in serving, including your qualifications and attached resume.
  2. Complete the application for gubernatorial appointment. This application is sent directly to the Governor’s Office and it will not be part of the materials reviewed by the AWC Board of Directors. Therefore, it is important your AWC interest form provide details pertinent to this position.
