AWC seeks a city elected official to fill an alternate position vacancy on the Puget Sound Partnership Ecosystem Coordinating Board. Applicants must be from a city near the Puget Sound basin including the Strait of Juan de Fuca, San Juan Islands, Whidbey Island, Puget Sound, and Hood Canal.
About the Ecosystem Coordinating Board
The Ecosystem Coordinating Board’s main role is to advise the Puget Sound Partnership’s Leadership Council on carrying out its responsibilities, including development and implementation of the action agenda. The Board is made up of 27 members representing specific interests around the Sound. The Board is an integral link between the Leadership Council and the work being carried out in Puget Sound and is the key in communicating the implementation work and educational activities to the broader public and to policy decision makers around the Sound.

Time commitment, travel expenses
The Ecosystem Coordinating Board meets at least four times per year and should expect to commit approximately 20 hours per month. This is an alternate position and will attend meetings as needed. Members serve without compensation and may be reimbursed for travel expenses.
Application process
The AWC Board of Directors will review applicant materials and nominate an appointee to the Puget Sound Partnership Leadership Council.
