About the Emergency Management Council
The Washington State Emergency Management Council advises the Governor and director on all matters pertaining to state and local emergency management by promoting, assessing and reporting on statewide emergency readiness. Learn more about the Emergency Management Council.
Time commitment
The advisory committee usually meets on the third Thursday of each month. Meetings are being held in person with a remote option, or fully remote.
Application process
Those interested in serving must complete an AWC interest form including your qualifications and attached resume. The AWC Board of Directors
will make a recommendation to the Washington State Emergency Management Director.
