AWC seeks a senior city staff member to serve on the WSDOT Local Programs Bridge Replacement Advisory Committee (BRAC). Applicants must be from the eastern side of the state and have expertise in transportation and engineering. The new member would serve as an alternate non-voting member for the first year of a four-year term.
About the Local Programs Bridge Advisory Committee
Committee members make recommendations to the Director of Local Programs regarding funding of projects under the federal Highway Bridge Replacement and Rehabilitation Program (HBP). Members of the BRAC must be licensed professional civil engineers, ideally with knowledge and interest in bridges.

The Committee meets virtually two to three times per open call for bridge projects, which take place every other year pending funding availability. There is no expectation of travel to serve on the Committee. AWC does not cover any type of expense related to this committee.
Application process and deadline
Those interested in serving must complete an AWC interest form, including your qualifications and attached resume. Appointments will be made by the AWC CEO.
