AWC is recruiting mayors, councilmembers, and city administrators/managers from Eastern and Western Washington to serve a two-year term on the Small City Advisory Committee.
About the Small City Advisory Committee
The Small City Advisory Committee (SCAC) provides input to AWC staff to identify training, publication, technical assistance, and legislative needs of cities and towns with fewer than 5,000 people. Committee membership consists of 14 city and town officials representing cities in rural and urban areas and in Eastern and Western Washington. Read the SCAC Statement of Purpose for more information about the committee’s scope.
Time commitment
The Small City Advisory Committee will meet at least twice per year, which may be a stand-alone meeting or in conjunction with an AWC conference. The committee also occasionally meets online.
Committee members serve for two-year terms, and each member can serve two consecutive terms.
