Congratulations to the 2021-2022 Local Records Grant Program recipients!

Each year, the Washington Secretary of State (SOS) provides grants to local governments to help with the use of technology in improving records retention, management, and disclosure of public records. This year, 17 Washington cities received $302,026 in grant funds.

The SOS distributes grant funds in three categories: organize the file room, technology tools, and digital imaging. The following cities received funds:

    • Mount Vernon
    • North Bonneville
    • Ocean Shores
    • Pasco
    • City of Yakima Wastewater
    • Rockford
    • South Prairie
  • Technology tools
    • Battle Ground
    • Bothell
    • Republic
    • Toppenish
  • Digital imaging
    • Port Angeles
    • Tukwila Police Department
