Treasury extends deadlines for submitting 2021 ARPA reports

Contact: Candice Bock, Jacob Ewing

In a welcome move last week, the U.S. Treasury announced that reporting deadlines for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds have been pushed back to 2022.

States, territories, counties, entitlement cities, and Tribal governments will report project and expenditure data on January 31, 2022, instead of October 31, 2021. The report will cover the period between the award date and December 31, 2021.

Non-entitlement cities will submit their first report by April 30, 2022, instead of October 31, 2021. The report will cover the period between the award date and March 31, 2022.

Treasury will provide further instructions at a later date, including updates to existing guidance as well as a user guide to assist recipients to gather and submit information through Treasury’s online portal. Be sure to visit Treasury’s website as well as AWC’s ARPA webpage for the latest information.
