Plan changes
Standard
New plan option added – Basic life/AD&D benefit:
- Three times annual salary
- $500,000 benefit maximum
Regence/Asuris (HealthFirst 500 and HDHP)
- Outpatient rehabilitation benefit increases to 60/calendar year
Regence/Asuris/Kaiser (All plans)
- Chiropractic benefit increases to 20/calendar year
- Acupuncture benefit increases to 20/calendar year
Regence/Asuris (all plans, except HDHP where noted)
Specialty prescription costs account for a large portion of claims costs. Many of these costs can be reduced with the implementation of these prescription cost containment changes:
- All specialty medications must be purchased from the Regence/Asuris contracted specialty pharmacy, effective April 1, 2021.
- Copay maximization program: This optional program connects members taking certain specialty drugs to manufacturer coupons, resulting in $0 member cost share (not included on HDHP due to regulatory restrictions).
- Infused drug site of care program: This required program directs members to convenient and cost-effective approved sites for medication infusion, such as professional offices, home infusion, or hospital outpatient sites.
