PERC launches the Negotiation Project

Contact: Candice Bock, Jacob Ewing

The Public Employment Relations Commission launched the Negotiation Project to provide union negotiators with training and resources to improve their skills and to better manage conflicts.

Launched initially as a website, the Negotiation Project provides negotiators with access to an innovative conflict program that explores how academic theories and research can apply to labor relations in the public sector. Negotiators can access pre-recorded sessions on issues such as expanding the bargaining pie, integrative bargaining, and deciding what bargaining model to use.

In the future, the Project hopes to facilitate in-person discussions and networking opportunities. Interested individuals can sign up for the Negotiation Project’s mailing list to stay up-to-date on new resources.
