Housing Affordability Breakthrough Challenge

Enterprise and Wells Fargo have teamed up to create a grant program called the Housing Affordability Breakthrough Challenge. The initiative is designed to spark innovations that transform creative housing affordability ideas into real solutions.

The program will award six grants totaling over $2 million dollars each and provide technical assistance to help turn concepts into action. Enterprise, one of the most engaged affordable housing nonprofits in the country, will coordinate the three-stage competitive request for proposals (RFP) based on feasibility, creativity, and impact at scale of the ideas.

The first-round RFP will be released mid-January. Fifteen finalists will participate in a pitch competition before the final six grant recipients are named by July 31, 2020.
