The transportation budget (HB 1160) passed out of the Senate on Thursday, April 4 with a strong bipartisan vote of 47 yeas, 0 nays, and 2 excused.
Given that the Senate heavily amended the bill, the budget will head to a conference committee where transportation leaders from the House and Senate will negotiate the final version. However, both versions of the budget spend approximately $10 billion, and contain continued funding for local projects and past transportation packages (such as the Connecting Washington package).
More information about the different versions can be found here.
