Vacating cannabis misdemeanor convictions bill advances

SB 5605 passed the Senate 29-19 and is now in the House Public Safety Committee awaiting a hearing.

The bill has not been amended. SB 5605 allows a person convicted of a misdemeanor marijuana offense, who was at least twenty-one years old at the time of the offense, to apply to the sentencing court to vacate the record of conviction.
