Bill concerning criminal penalties for licensed marijuana retailers moves to Senate

HB 1792 passed the House 89-8 and is now in the Senate Labor & Commerce Committee awaiting a hearing. The bill has not been amended.

HB 1792 creates a new gross misdemeanor crime when a cannabis retail outlet employee sells marijuana products to a person under the age of 21. A marijuana retailer or employee of a retail outlet may be guilty of a misdemeanor if they allow a person under the age of 21 to enter or remain on the premises of a retail outlet.
