PFML technical fix moves to Senate

SHB 1399, making technical changes to the Paid Family & Medical Leave (PFML) program, was passed out of the House and is now scheduled for a public hearing in the Senate Labor & Commerce Committee.

The bill makes technical fixes regarding employer waivers, benefits, voluntary plans, disclosure and privacy, the qualifying period, waiting periods, and other matters. Both labor and employer advocacy organizations are supporting the bill.
