AWC City Action Days cancelled

Contact: AWC registration

We have made the difficult decision to cancel City Action Days, February 13-14. Weather forecasts continue to show poor conditions through the week and travel warnings are issued throughout the state. Safety of our members is of the utmost importance, and it appears conditions are going to worsen. We also know that many of our members will need to be responsive to their community’s needs in this time of emergency.

Registration fee refunds: The value of the City Action Days registration fee will be refunded. AWC will work as quickly as possible to cancel all registrations and process full refunds.

Housing: If you made lodging arrangements, please contact the hotel directly to cancel your reservation and let them know this is due to inclement weather. AWC is not responsible for any travel or lodging related expenses. For a list of hotel contact information, please visit our housing page.

Your voice is still needed!

Legislator appointments: Be sure to contact your legislators’ offices and let them know if you need to cancel any in-person meetings. If possible, suggest a phone meeting instead – that way you can still let them know about the important issues facing cities.

Watch CityVoice and the Legislative Bulletin for other ways to receive the important information we planned to share with you at City Action Days. And if you have not marked March 25 on your calendar, please do so and plan to join city officials in Olympia for AWC Lobby Day. Learn more.

This decision was made with an abundance of caution. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

If you have questions or would like additional information, please contact registration@awcnet.org.
