Proposed changes to city pavement conditions reports

Contact: Logan Bahr, Andrew Pittelkau

HB 1695, sponsored by Rep. Bill Ramos (D–Issaquah), would change the pavement condition reporting to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT). Current law requires cities and towns to report pavement conditions on a yearly basis.

HB 1695 would change the law to require that every two years cities report the latest average pavement condition for principal and minor arterial and collector systems.

AWC is supportive of the bill.

Dates to remember

The bill will be heard on Wednesday, February 6 before the House Transportation Committee at 3:30 pm.
