Wander the Wonders wrap-up

Contact:

1,535 individuals representing 88 employers participated in Wander the Wonders through the Health Central portal during the month of May. Participants received 50 points just for enrolling in the challenge, and another 100 points for finishing – in total enough points to earn their Wellness Rewards and enter two drawings.

Participant and coordinator evaluations indicated that the online program worked well and that there was a high level of satisfaction with the challenge. Many participants liked that a wide variety of activities – from bowling and billiards to fishing, gardening and kayaking – could be converted to steps and entered in Health Central without using a tracking device.

Wanderful Washington photo contest

One highlight of the challenge was our Wanderful Washington photo contest. Three judges from AWC’s communications team had a difficult time selecting a winner from among the 112 entries! In the end they chose these as the top 3:

1st place: Hovander Homestead Park

2nd place: Lake Ingalls Trail mountain goats

3rd place: Salmon Creek Trail

Winning photos can be seen in Health Central (awctrust.org) in the main newsfeed and the Wander the Wonders newsfeed.

Up next…Winter Warm-Up

Our next challenge, Winter Warm-Up (formerly Race to Wellness) will take place October 1 – 30. We’ve heard your feedback and suggestions regarding Wander the Wonders and have been able to make some improvements to the way that Winter Warm-Up will work. Save the date for the August 16 Winter Warm-Up coordinator orientation webinar to get all the details.
