2017 Lodging tax expenditure data due soon
Time is running out for reporting 2017 lodging tax expenditure data. Local governments collecting lodging tax are required to report annual expenditures. The Joint Legislative Audit & Review Committee (JLARC) website is open for reporting and the deadline for 2017 expenditures is May 30. More
Governor approves Opportunity Zones
Governor Jay Inslee designated 139 census tracts in 36 counties in Washington as “Opportunity Zones.” Opportunity Zones came out of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, designed to provide tax incentives to investors who fund businesses in underserved communities. Find out where the zones are. More
