<em>Cityvision</em> magazine relaunches in a new digital-friendly format

We are pleased to announce the relaunch of our award-winning quarterly magazine in a new digital format.

The new Cityvision digital will include much of the same magazine content you know and love, including the latest topical issues that impact cities throughout the state, told through interviews that highlight the voices and stories of your colleagues and neighbors.

The magazine will now arrive via email on a Saturday each quarter. The next issue centers on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) in cities and will deliver on Saturday, June 17.

The decision to move this valuable content to digital distribution is driven by several factors. Importantly, a digital format aligns with our commitment to sustainability and minimizing our carbon footprint. By reducing printing and physical distribution, we can significantly decrease paper waste and energy consumption associated with the magazine production process.

Additionally, a digital magazine offers several advantages over the printed format. Key benefits for city leaders include:

• Instantaneous delivery: AWC members receive Cityvision digital directly in their email inboxes, eliminating delays associated with mailing and physical distribution.

• Interactive content: We can include hyperlinks to relevant resources, videos, data, and multimedia content, offering a more engaging and immersive reading experience.

This allows us to share all the great work that cities are doing with a wider audience, and thus helps to raise the visibility of our cities and towns.

We will continue to produce a single printed issue each fall. Our Fall 2023 issue will cover AWC’s 90^th anniversary, looking back at how Washington cities have developed over the past nine decades since our founding in 1933. Watch for it to arrive at city hall in September.
