There is a lot of crossover between AWC’s member pooling programs and our work here at HR Insights. We wanted to connect you with a couple of resources that came to our attention from the MPP’s AWC Member Expo in October.
Readers know that AWC provides a number of services to cities around the state. In addition to the Government Relations team (where yours truly is situated), AWC also provides other services to cities through our “member pooling programs”
(MPPs) like the Employee Benefit Trust, Risk Management Service Agency, Workers’ Comp Retro Program, Drug & Alcohol Consortium,
and GIS Consortium.
There is a lot of crossover between AWC’s member pooling programs and our work here at HR Insights. We wanted to connect you with a couple of resources that came to our attention from the MPP’s AWC Member Expo in October:
- Burnout Paul Casey, AWC Member Expo keynote speaker spoke on Burning bright without burning out, providing valuable insights to attendees on how to avoid burnout. He shared why you really should take a break, and how the
“big three” can lead to greater work life balance and productivity.
- DEI+B – find out what it means Another popular AWC Member Expo session was DEI – An introduction to diversity, equity & inclusion, by Regence BlueShield VP of Employee Experience, Elizabeth Hall. View her
short interview where she explains the terms DEI+ B, shares some examples of how your entity can incorporate this into your culture, and describes how being a “best supporting actor” can make your organization, community, and employees
really shine.
