The Community Economic Revitalization Board (CERB) invites rural communities to apply for low interest loans and grants to support the expansion of rural broadband.

The Community Economic Revitalization Board (CERB) invites rural communities to apply for low interest loans and grants to support the expansion of rural broadband. Eligible applicants may receive a maximum of $1 million per project. CERB is limited to $10 million in awards through June 30, 2019.

Funding is limited to local governments, tribes, municipal and quasi-municipal corporations, ports, and special districts.

A maximum of 50 percent of a total award is eligible for grant coverage depending on the debt service coverage ratio. Projects with higher debt service ratios may require up to a 25 percent local matching contribution. Remaining award amounts are covered through low interest loans with a variable rate depending on length of loan and county designation.
