Bob Hasegawa, (D-Beacon Hill), requires the Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) to establish the prevailing wage rate based on collective bargaining agreements, for those trades and occupations that have such agreements.

Bob Hasegawa, (D-Beacon Hill), requires the Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) to establish the prevailing wage rate based on collective bargaining agreements, for those trades and occupations that have such agreements. For trades with more than one collective bargaining agreement, the higher rate controls. For trades that do not have collective bargaining agreements, the prevailing wage must be established by wage and hour surveys.
This bill passed both chambers of the Legislature and is headed to the Governor’s desk for signature.
