Liquor & Cannabis Board studying legalized marijuana home grows – Comments due by Oct. 11

The LCB is studying the possibility of legalizing and regulating recreational marijuana plant possession, also known as “home grow” operations. The agency is exploring three options:

1. Strictly regulated recreational home grow options;
2. A state framework, local authority option; and
3. Continued prohibition of recreational home grows (the current status quo).

Local governments are encouraged to provide input. More information about the study can be found here. AWC has provided input supporting the continued prohibition of home grows in order to stay compliant with the federal guidelines set forth in the Cole Memo.
