State agency engaging in new rulemaking on occupational lead exposure

The state agency tasked with regulating occupational safety, Labor & Industries (L&I), is engaged in new rulemaking on employee lead exposure. The proposed rules lower the thresholds for allowable lead exposure and prescribe various mitigation requirements.
