Apply to serve on the AWC Small Cities Advisory Committee

AWC is recruiting for a city/town staff member to serve on the Small City Advisory Committee. The Small City Advisory Committee serves as a resource to AWC staff, helping to identify training, publication, technical assistance, and legislative needs of cities and towns with fewer than 5,000 population. The committee consists of 14 members; both elected officials and staff.

Time commitment

Committee meetings are twice per year, held during City Action Days in Olympia and the AWC Annual Conference in June. Per policy, AWC reimburses for travel expenses related to attending meetings. Other committee work is done either by email or by conference call.

Committee members serve for two-year terms, and each member can serve two consecutive full terms.

Application process

If you are a city/town staff member interested in serving on this committee, complete the AWC Committee Interest Form. Committee members are appointed by the AWC President.
