The 2019 AWC Nominating Committee is calling for applications for the following AWC Board of Director positions:

At-Large 1 (Western>5,000 pop)

What does it mean to be on the AWC Board of Directors?

Read the Board of Directors, overview of responsibilities for qualifications and time requirements.

Who can apply?

Only elected officials from the AWC Board Districts with an open position and those serving in a city or town elected position for a minimum of one year, are eligible to apply for the Board.

How do I apply?

Complete and submit the Board of Directors application by 5 pm Friday, March 29. If you decide to apply after this deadline, you will have the option to run for a position from the floor during AWC’s Annual Business Meeting, Thursday, June 27 in Spokane.

How does the nominations process work?

  • The AWC Nominating Committee meets on Friday, April 12 to review applications for the officer (president and vice president) and director positions.
  • The Nominating Committee meets again on Tuesday, June 25 in conjunction with the AWC Annual Conference in Spokane, to review potential candidates and compile the final list of nominated candidates. Candidates must be available for interview in Spokane on Tuesday, June 25. All candidates receive an interview time after the April 12 meeting.
  • The final candidate list is submitted to voting delegates during the AWC annual business meeting on Thursday, June 27.
