Contact: Lindsey Hueer, Katherine Walton

HB 2330 passed the House with bipartisan support and has been scheduled for a vote in the Senate Agriculture, Water, Natural Resources & Parks Committee. Before it passed the House, the sponsor introduced an amendment that adds one representative from local emergency management nominated by the Washington State Emergency Management Council and requires the Office of the Insurance Commissioner to provide staff support to the workgroup.

AWC continues to strongly support bills that would bolster state support for communities impacted by wildfires.
