Congratulations WorkSafe employers!

Congratulations to recipients of the 2021 WorkSafe Employer Award:

City of Kennewick
This is the fourth year recognizing Kennewick. They were intentional in their creation of their safety coordinator/risk manager position, creating a structure where they are not an enforcement officer, but a resource for people coming to solve safety problems. This encourages a culture and environment for safety that actively seeks employee engagement from employees and creates opportunities for workers to have positive safety interactions.

Metro Parks Tacoma
This is the second for Metro Parks Tacoma. As an organization, Metro Parks oversees Point Defiance Zoo, Northwest Trek, and multiple park facilities. This means they have the challenge to coordinate and manage safety programs for three very distinct facilities and work groups.

Congratulations, and thank you for your diligence in keeping your employees safe and protected.
